Despite the name of this website, we aren’t actually a lab. We aren’t a “we” either. RiverTechLabs is my (Jessica Droujko’s) attempt to document as much as I possibly can about my open-sourced turbidity sensor project. Also, the name “open-sourced” means I should probably make this work accessible somehow, eh?
A little about me
I am a kayaking-obsessed, whitewater enthusiast with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and am now doing a PhD in environmental engineering at ETH Zurich.
A little about this project
The Open-Sourced, Affordable Turbidity Sensor for Environmental Applications is a chapter of my PhD work. A first prototype of the sensor was created in the first year of my PhD (2020 – it was my only companion during the pandemic…)
